About This Program

The federally-funded Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate (HEAR) program provides point-of-sale rebates to households at or below 150% AMI, with maximum benefits for households at or below 80% AMI. Rebates include up to $8,000 for cold-climate heat pumps, $1,750 for heat pump water heaters, $4,000 for electrical panel upgrades, and $840 for electric stoves. Moderate-income households (80–150% AMI) qualify for up to 50% cost coverage.

At ≤80% AMI, up to $14,000 total rebates. At 80–150% AMI, up to 50% of project cost. Applied at point of sale.
