About This Program

Free critical repairs for low-income Detroit homeowners. At least one household member must be a senior (62+), child under 18, or resident with a documented disability. Covers severe plumbing, actively leaking roofs, non-working furnace/boiler, electrical hazards, and accessibility repairs. Income cap: ~$54,540 for a 3-person household (80% AMI). Must be current on property taxes or in a payment plan. Cannot have received a prior City grant of $10,000+. Call 866-313-2520 or email HRDHomeRepair@detroitmi.gov.
