About This Program

USDA Section 504 provides loans up to $40,000 and grants up to $10,000 (for seniors 62+) to very-low-income rural homeowners for repairs, improvements, and modernization. Some areas outside Fort Worth's core urban zone may qualify as USDA-eligible rural areas. Loans and grants can be combined for up to $50,000 in assistance.
