About This Program

Michigan's Home Energy Rebates program (MiHER) is backed by $211M in IRA federal funding and offers up to $34,000 in combined rebates through two programs: HOMES (performance-based whole-home retrofit rebates) and HEAR (point-of-sale rebates for heat pumps, water heaters, electrical panels, insulation, and air sealing). Households at or below 80% AMI receive maximum rebates and may qualify for up to 100% project coverage.

HEAR up to $14,000; HOMES based on energy savings. Combined max $34,000. Highest rebates for 80% AMI households.
