About This Program

For veterans with a permanent, total service-connected disability. Buy, build, or modify home for wheelchair access, roll-in showers, ramps, and widened doors. Amount adjusted annually by cost-of-construction index. SHA (Special Housing Adaptation) grant: up to $25,350 for less severe qualifying disabilities. Both usable up to 6 times lifetime.
