About This Program

The HISA grant provides a lifetime benefit for medically necessary home modifications for VA-enrolled veterans. Veterans with a service-connected disability rated at 50% or more receive up to $6,800 lifetime; veterans with non-service-connected conditions receive up to $2,000. Eligible projects must be prescribed by a VA doctor as medically necessary and include ramps, grab bars, roll-in showers, and accessible bathrooms. Apply through VA Southern Nevada HCS.
