About This Program

The SHA grant helps veterans with qualifying service-connected disabilities adapt their home to meet adaptive needs related to blindness, loss of both hands, or certain other conditions. The FY 2026 maximum is $25,350, available up to 6 times within the lifetime benefit. SHA is designed for less severe disabilities than SAH but still requires a qualifying service connection.
