About This Program

FEMA HMGP provides grants to reduce future disaster losses through home elevation, flood proofing, and wind retrofits. Homeowners cannot apply directly; local governments submit on their behalf. Federal share is 75% of eligible project cost. Must be administered through local or state government on homeowner's behalf.
