About This Program

Reduces childhood lead poisoning by creating lead-safe housing at no cost to residents, funded through HUD and CDBG grants. Addresses lead-based paint hazards in pre-1978 homes and can also address minor health hazards identified during the inspection. Targets owner-occupied and rental properties where children under 6 reside.

Services free to eligible households. Funded via CDBG after prior HUD Lead Hazard Control grant concluded.
