About This Program

Clean Heat Rhode Island's $25 million program provides incentives to encourage heat pump adoption for households heating with oil, propane, or natural gas. Income-eligible households (at or below 150% SMI, or participating in SNAP/LIHEAP) receive 100% of heat pump system and installation costs covered up to $18,000. Standard-income households receive 60% of costs covered up to $11,500. Heat pump water heaters earn an additional $2,500 incentive.
