About This Program

USDA Section 504 provides 1% interest loans up to $40,000 to very-low-income homeowners for critical repairs, and grants up to $10,000 to homeowners age 62+ to remove health and safety hazards (combined maximum $50,000). While Providence city proper is ineligible as an urban area, homeowners in surrounding Providence County communities should verify their specific address on the USDA eligibility map.
