About This Program

PG&E's Energy Savings Assistance program provides free home improvements to income-eligible customers including heat pump water heaters, furnaces, refrigerators, lighting, and weatherization. Available to homeowners and renters in homes at least 5 years old. Qualifying customers receive a free in-home energy assessment; an energy specialist determines which improvements qualify. Note: PG&E serves some Sacramento County areas outside SMUD territory.
