About This Program

The VA HISA grant covers medically necessary home improvements for veterans with service-connected disabilities, including ramp construction, bathroom accessibility, entrance modifications, and kitchen/bathroom counter height adjustments. Maximum lifetime benefit is $6,800 for service-connected conditions and $2,000 for non-service-connected conditions rated 50%+ service-connected. Submit through VA Prosthetics at your local VA medical center.
