About This Program

The VA Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) grant helps veterans with qualifying service-connected disabilities adapt or purchase a home to meet their disability needs. The SAH grant provides up to $121,812 (FY2025) for major adaptations; the Special Housing Adaptation (SHA) grant provides up to $24,405 for lesser modifications. The VA Salt Lake City Healthcare System serves Utah veterans.

SAH: up to $121,812 (FY2025); SHA: up to $24,405. May be used up to 3 times within lifetime maximum. Amounts adjust annually with construction cost index.
