About This Program

Salt Lake City's CDBG-funded Home Repair Program assists low- to moderate-income owner-occupants with health, safety, and structural repairs. Households at or below 50% AMI may receive grants up to $50,000; those between 50–80% AMI receive low- or no-interest loans. The FY2025-2026 CDBG allocation is approximately $4.9 million. The Housing Stability Division administers the program.

Very low income (≤50% AMI): grants up to $50,000. Moderate low income (50–80% AMI): low/no-interest loan. Income limits: 80% AMI is ~$98,160 for family of 4 in SLC.
