About This Program

The VA Special Housing Adaptation grant assists veterans with qualifying service-connected disabilities (such as blindness in both eyes or loss of use of both hands) to adapt their existing home for independent living. The FY2026 maximum is $25,350 and the grant can be used up to 6 times lifetime. Less severe than SAH eligibility requirements.
