About This Program

The HISA grant provides funding for medically necessary home structural modifications for veterans who require improvements directly related to their medical condition. Veterans with service-connected conditions can receive up to $6,800 lifetime; those with non-service-connected conditions can receive up to $2,000. Common uses include roll-in showers, widened doorways, and ramps. Apply through your VA health care team.
