CalHFA MyHome Down Payment Assistance

About This Program

CalHFA's MyHome Assistance Program provides first-time homebuyers a deferred-payment junior loan for down payment and/or closing costs — up to 3.5% of the purchase price on FHA loans or 3% on conventional loans. The loan is repaid when the home is sold, refinanced, or paid off. While not a home repair grant, this program helps buyers purchase homes that may need improvements.
