Red Cross Sound the Alarm — Free Smoke Alarm Installation

About This Program

The American Red Cross Northwest Region installs up to 3 free smoke alarms for households that cannot afford them or are physically unable to install them. Volunteers test existing alarms, install new ones, and help create a home fire escape plan. No income verification is required. Requests are fulfilled as resources allow, with priority given during national Sound the Alarm events held in spring each year.

Three free smoke alarms plus installation and escape planning; retail value approximately $60–$90.
