About This Program

The federally funded Weatherization Assistance Program provides free energy efficiency improvements to income-qualified households in Washington State through local agencies. Households at or below 200% of federal poverty level, 60% of state median income, or 80% AMI qualify. Services include comprehensive energy audits, insulation, air sealing, HVAC optimization, LED lighting, and smoke/CO detectors. Priority is given to seniors, disabled individuals, children under six, and those with asthma.

National average weatherization package exceeds $8,000 per household; Seattle-area projects may vary.
