About This Program

The VA Special Home Adaptation (SHA) grant provides up to $25,350 in FY 2026 for qualifying veterans with service-connected disabilities to improve home mobility and accessibility. SHA addresses less extensive adaptations than SAH and may be used up to three times within the lifetime limit. Apply via VA Form 26-4555 or through the Hampton VA Medical Center.
