About This Program

Provides financing through water utilities and GEFA's Drinking Water State Revolving Fund for lead service line inventory and replacement. Federal law now requires water systems to identify and replace all lead service lines within 10 years. Fulton County homeowners with potential lead service lines should contact Fulton County Water for their Lead and Copper program. Atlanta received $67.5M in EPA infrastructure funding for this purpose.

Costs typically borne by water utility or split with homeowner; income-based assistance may be available through your water utility.
