American Red Cross — Free Smoke Alarm Installation

About This Program

Provides free installation of up to 3 smoke alarms to households in Georgia that lack working detectors, as part of the American Red Cross Home Fire Campaign and annual Sound the Alarm events. Volunteers test existing alarms, install new ones where needed, and help residents develop a home fire escape plan. No income requirement. In 2026, Georgia Red Cross targeted installation of 3,800 smoke alarms statewide.
