CAP provides a 10% discount on electric bills plus fee waivers for Austin Energy residential customers at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Customers enrolled in Medicaid, SNAP, CHIP, SSI, Telephone Lifeline, or several other social programs are auto-enrolled. Average savings are approximately $650 per year. Also serves as a gateway to free Weatherization Assistance.
