About This Program

Austin Energy provides a $2,500 bill credit rebate for residential solar PV systems of 3 kW or larger installed by a participating contractor. System production is credited at the Value of Solar (VoS) rate — currently 9.91 cents per kWh — rather than net metering, providing a predictable long-term export credit. Homeowners must complete the Austin Energy Solar Education Course before applying.

Flat $2,500 bill credit rebate. VoS at 9.91¢/kWh applied to 100% of production. Federal 30% Investment Tax Credit (ITC) available separately.
