About This Program

Massachusetts WAP provides free weatherization services—insulation, air sealing, heating system tune-ups, and energy efficiency measures—to households at or below 60% of State Median Income. Licensed private contractors complete all work at no cost to the resident. In Boston, Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) is the primary WAP provider. Priority is given to elderly, disabled, and households with young children.

No-cost program. Average of $4,725–$6,500 in energy measures per household. Income limit: 60% of Massachusetts State Median Income. Apply through ABCD (Boston).
