About This Program

The HomeWorks Green Loan Program offers income-eligible Boston homeowners a 0% interest deferred loan up to $70,000 for green and energy-efficiency improvements. At least one-third of the project scope must address eligible green repairs such as insulation, clean energy systems, or health and safety upgrades. Up to one-third of the final project cost is forgiven after ten years, making a portion of the loan a true grant.

0% interest deferred loan; up to 1/3 of costs forgiven after 10 years. Income limit is 135% AMI. Applies to 1–6 unit owner-occupied homes and condos.
