About This Program

LIHEAP provides financial assistance to low-income households to help pay heating and cooling energy bills. In South Carolina, eligible households may receive up to $1,500 per service and up to two services per calendar year. For FY2026, heating benefits range $200–$850 and cooling benefits $200–$775, with crisis assistance up to $1,000.
