About This Program

Federally funded through DOE and LIHEAP, the Texas WAP provides free weatherization improvements — insulation, air sealing, duct repair, limited HVAC — to reduce energy costs for low-income households. Income must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty level (DOE) or 150% (LIHEAP). In Dallas County, the program is administered by Dallas County Health & Human Services.

No cost to qualifying homeowners. Average investment is approximately $6,500 per home.
