About This Program

The TRA grant allows SAH/SHA-eligible veterans temporarily living in a family member's home to adapt that residence for accessibility. For SAH-eligible veterans the FY 2026 maximum is $50,961; for SHA-eligible veterans it is $9,099. Amounts count against the veteran's aggregate SAH/SHA lifetime limit. The grant does not require repayment.
