About This Program

Michigan Veterans Trust Fund provides one-time emergency financial assistance to veterans and their families facing temporary hardship. Covers emergency home and auto repairs, mortgage/rent, utilities, and property taxes. Veteran must have 180+ days active service with honorable discharge during a wartime era (peacetime veterans 65+ eligible since Dec 2021). Cannot receive more than once every two years. Apply through Wayne County Veterans Services or call 800-MICH-VET.
