USDA 504 loans (up to $40,000, 1% interest) and grants (up to $10,000, for homeowners 62+) for very-low-income rural homeowners. Combined max $50,000. Important note: Detroit city limits typically do not qualify as rural. However, some Wayne County suburbs and outer areas may qualify. Check your address at the USDA eligibility site.
