About This Program

Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) Grant: up to $126,526 for severely disabled veterans to buy, build, or adapt a home (usable up to 6 times, lifetime cap). Special Home Adaptation (SHA) Grant: up to $25,350 for veterans who have lost use of both hands, are blind in both eyes, or have certain severe burns. TRA (Temporary Residence Adaptation): up to $50,961 (SAH) or $9,100 (SHA) for adapting a family member's home. Requires specific VA-rated disability conditions.
