About This Program

The Jacksonville Assistance and Relief Program (JAR) waives fines and provides no-cost abatement services for property code violations when homeowners are unable to comply due to disability or economic hardship. Eligible violations include debris, unsafe structures, boarding, pool and septic issues, and graffiti. Qualifying either through disability status (enrollment in City assistance programs) or income at or below 80% AMI.

Prevents lien filings rather than providing cash; must qualify via disability program enrollment or income verification
