About This Program

The SAH Grant helps veterans with specific service-connected disabilities build, buy, or modify a home for independent living. Eligible disabilities include loss or loss of use of both legs, arms, or a combination, certain severe burn injuries, and certain respiratory injuries. The grant may be used up to 6 times over a veteran's lifetime. Jacksonville-area veterans should contact the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System or apply online at va.gov.

Requires VA-certified service-connected disability; use VA Form 26-4555 to apply; can be combined with TRA grant for temporary residence adaptations
