About This Program

The SHA Grant helps veterans with specific service-connected disabilities adapt their current home or a family member's home to accommodate their disability. Eligible conditions include blindness in both eyes, loss or loss of use of both hands, and certain severe burn injuries. The grant may be used up to 6 times over a veteran's lifetime and can cover ramps, widened doorways, roll-in showers, and other accessibility modifications.

Requires VA-certified service-connected disability; use VA Form 26-4555 to apply
