My Safe Florida Home — Free Wind Mitigation Inspection

About This Program

Any Florida owner of a site-built single-family detached home or townhouse can apply for a free wind mitigation inspection through the My Safe Florida Home program, with no income requirement and no obligation to apply for a grant after the inspection. The inspection identifies vulnerabilities in the roof, windows, doors, and wall connections, and the resulting report is required to apply for the MSFH grant and may also lower homeowner's insurance premiums.

The inspection itself is completely free and may result in insurance discounts independent of any grant. The inspection report is required for the MSFH grant application.
