About This Program

MDHA offers 0% interest deferred loans up to $20,000 for qualifying Davidson County homeowners to address health and safety repairs including HVAC, roofing, windows, plumbing, and electrical. Homeowners 62 and older receive a 5-year forgivable loan; all others repay only upon sale or transfer of the property. Applications are accepted through the Neighborly Portal during open application periods on a first-come, first-served basis.

Loan is 0% interest, deferred — no monthly payment required. Forgiven after 5 years for seniors 62+.
