About This Program

Tennessee received DOE conditional approval for the Inflation Reduction Act Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) program, with a full launch expected in Q3 2026. Qualifying households at below 80% AMI may receive up to $8,000 for a heat pump, while 80–150% AMI households may receive up to $4,000. Additional rebates cover heat pump water heaters, electric stoves, weatherization, and electrical panel upgrades. Tennessee's total allocation is $83.7 million.

Program not yet launched as of April 2026. Expected Q3 2026. Rebates can potentially stack with TVA EnergyRight rebates for up to $9,500 total on a heat pump.
