About This Program

Provides free home assessments and safety modifications to alleviate critical health, life, and safety issues for income-eligible residents in Phoenix and throughout Maricopa County. The program focuses on fall prevention, accessibility improvements (grab bars, ramps, handrails), and other safety enhancements for seniors, veterans, families with young children, and people with disabilities. Note: The previous Critical Repair Program was discontinued July 1, 2025 due to funding constraints.

Free services for qualifying households at or below 80% Maricopa County Median Income. Critical Repair Program no longer offered as of July 2025.
