About This Program

NC LIHEAP provides seasonal energy bill assistance and limited emergency energy crisis funds to income-eligible households. Benefits are applied directly to utility accounts and are administered through Wake County Department of Social Services. The program also offers a Crisis Intervention Program (CIP) for households facing immediate shutoff or equipment failure. Applications are accepted seasonally.
