About This Program

Wake County's Major Repair Program is a pilot initiative offering deferred 0% interest loans up to $90,000 to low-income homeowners in Wake County outside city limits. Loans are forgiven over a 10-year period; homeowners who sell or move out must repay remaining balance. Covered repairs include roofing, HVAC, water heaters, septic systems, plumbing, foundation, flooring, and accessibility modifications. Cosmetic upgrades are excluded.
