The City of El Cajon, administered by SDHC, provides first-time homebuyers a deferred loan of up to 30% of the purchase price at 3% simple interest. Maximum loan is $170,000 for single-family homes and townhomes, or $120,000 for condominiums. Maximum purchase price is $698,000. Households must be at or below 80% AMI and must complete homebuyer education. Minimum 2% down payment required.
