About This Program

SDG&E's Energy Savings Assistance (ESA) Program provides no-cost energy-efficient home improvements to income-qualified SDG&E residential customers. Eligible improvements include smart thermostats, LED lighting, refrigerators, water heaters, furnaces, air conditioning, insulation, duct sealing, and heat pump water heaters. Households qualify if enrolled in qualifying public assistance programs or if income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level.

Must have active SDG&E service; income at or below 200% FPL (~$39,125 for 1 person in 2025) or enrolled in Medicaid/CalFresh/WIC/SSI/CalWORKs; single-family home, mobile home, duplex, triplex, or fourplex
