King County Housing Authority (KCHA)
The King County Housing Authority administers the Weatherization Assistance Program for homeowners and tenants outside Seattle city limits. Eligible households at or below 200% federal poverty level receive free air sealing, insulation, ventilation improvements, and minor repairs that enable energy-saving measures. The program serves single-family homes, mobile homes, and qualifying apartment buildings (50%+ income-eligible tenants) in King County outside Seattle.
Average weatherization package is estimated at $5,000–$12,000 in energy efficiency improvements at no cost to the homeowner.
