About This Program

Xcel Energy offers residential rebates for high-efficiency heating, cooling, insulation, and water heating upgrades for Minnesota customers. A bonus $600 rebate is available for customers who install qualifying insulation and then install a heat pump within 2 years. The Home Energy Squad program provides an in-home energy audit plus immediate improvements like LED bulbs, weather stripping, and smart thermostat installation.

Rebate amounts: heat pump up to $3,000; dual-fuel heat pump up to $1,600; attic insulation up to $1,300; wall insulation up to $1,500; smart thermostat $50–$100. Bonus $600 for insulation + heat pump combo.
