About This Program

Enhanced STAR provides greater school tax relief for homeowners age 65+ with income up to $107,300. In Syracuse, the exemption applies to both city and school taxes. Starting 2026, eligible seniors are automatically upgraded to Enhanced STAR at age 65. Frees up cash for home improvements.
