The Healthy Homes Program uses $1.9 million in federal grant funding to rehabilitate homes of low-income Tampa residents, with a focus on health and safety hazards including lead-based paint, mold, radon, and allergens. The city targets at least 90 households and funds repairs including plumbing, electrical, structural, and HVAC systems.
Grant; no repayment required as long as the home remains the owner's primary residence.
