About This Program

The Veterans Home Improvement Program offers below-market interest rate loans to qualified Texas veterans and active-duty military members for repairs and improvements to their primary residence. Loans range from $7,500 to $50,000 with 2–20 year terms and no down payment required. Veterans with a VA service-connected disability rating of 30% or greater receive an additional 0.5% interest rate discount.

Low-interest loan (not a grant). Loan amount up to $50,000; FHA-insured for loans of $25,000 or less. Interest rates vary weekly — call for current rate.
