About This Program

Massachusetts received $72.8M for the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) program and $73M for the Home Efficiency Rebates (HOMES) program under the Inflation Reduction Act. HEAR provides point-of-sale rebates for low-to-moderate income households on electric appliances: up to $8,000 for heat pumps, $1,750 for heat pump water heaters, $840 for electric stoves. HOMES provides rebates for whole-home efficiency upgrades. Programs launched in Massachusetts in 2025.
